Organic Sun-Worshipper's Salve

Comfrey (Symphytum officinale), is also known as “knitbone” because it has been traditionally used to encourage bone and musculoskeletal healing. It contains allantoin, a substance that helps new skin cells grow, reduces inflammation, and hastens wound healing.

Rosehips (Rosa Canina) are loaded with vitamin C which promotes the formation of procollagen that is necessary for growing connective, skin, and bone tissue. Their high anti-inflammatory content and fatty acids help suppress COX expression and inhibit pain.¹

Sweet Woodruff, (Galium odoratum) is wonderfully aromatic. It is used to heal burns and studies have shown that it is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant. The abundant coumarins present in sweet woodruff reduce tissue swelling.² It can help increase vascularity and improve collagen viability.³

Frankincense, (Boswellia), is strongly anti-inflammatory. Frankincense boosts collagen production and inhibits pain. Frankincense oil is UVB-protective to fight sun damage.⁴
