This is a tincture of wild harvested bloodroot, Sanguinaria canadensis, which was harvested from a forest in the Adirondack Mountains. Tinctured in 180 proof alcohol 120 days. Extraction ratio 1:3.
Indigenous Americans used bloodroot it as an emetic, for gastrointestinal issues, for tuberculosis, skin wounds and rashes, high blood pressure, and periodontal disease. It is antimicrobial.
All our products use wild organic, organically grown, or USDA organic plant materials. Plants are harvested from remote wild areas, unspoiled private land, and organic gardens cultivated by us, our friends, and our local farmers and beekeepers. USDA organic materials are purchased locally, or from established well-known vendors online. We try to purchase plants grown in the U.S. and Europe and we choose not to purchase from China. Our grain alcohol is triple charcoal filtered. As of 2026 it will be, gluten-free, vegan, and kosher and will be labeled as such as tinctures are re-stocked.
